At Marizá Epicentro I joined farm volunteers Fernanda and Mariana for two great afternoon hikes. The first hike destination was a hilltop cross to watch the sun set.

For the second hike Fernanda, Mariana and I walked to the same ravine I visited with Marcio and Kamyla in December. This time we didn’t hike as far to minimise night walking.

One of my favourite photos; a farmer training oxen to pull a cart by standing on a board
Young cashew fruit and cashew blossom on a tree near the ravine. Above the nut, the fruit grows larger and when mature has a refreshing peach-like flavour

A tall, eroded outcrop next to the ravine. Note the outcrop holes used by birds to nest and or roost
